Red string of fate: the limitation of love, soulmates being binded by fate.
The model shows no matter how much she follows the thread and no matter how far or close she is, she never comes closer to her significant other.
The expression of the model symbolises the sadness and loneliness piled up in her and how she is on the verge of giving up as her longing for companionship of her significant other grows. The red string is worn on the wrist with spikes to show how painful it is to her as well as an element accompanied with gothic fashion presented in the picture, which is famously known in Japan. Red string is also seen on her shirt (created by Sarah Thursday!). The model is seen to be wearing a mask to cover up her insecurities as her self confidence is slowly breaking down-- and because of the current pandemic.
I would like to raise the issue on how ‘love’ relationships have been declining and people like to tend to their sexual needs more instead, especially in our generation. People believe when you love someone, people immediately think of sexual needs but what if it's just the littlest things they do that just get our heart beats at an erratic speed. The shirt the model is currently wearing is also named “Lust”, thus the personification of the issue I want to bring out.
